‘The Italian View – Cultural Contrabbando’
I understand the cultural exchange as an unconscious and constant learning. This clandestine action builds up layers of our personality and we eventually change trans-ported in new realities.
During an art workshop in Nida, Lithuania, I made some postcards picturing Italian stereotypes by using photographs I took in Nida, and then I disseminated them through the town and waited to see if I could trick the residents.
I did trick them.
