The work explores the idea of “sense of the place”. The photographs are taken in Holy Island of Lindisfarne, a natural wonder and secluded island divided by the mainland twice a day by the tide. While picturing a specific milieu, the photographs tell the intimate experience of the artist. A story of constant escaping, renewing of lives and fragility of emerging lands.
The work was exhibited as part of Merge: individual explorations of place, home and history by collective Mimeses North
